Nola Graham

First and foremost, Nola Graham is the mother of 7 children and 164 Suri and Huacaya alpacas. (Edited)

When you think of legendary alpaca breeders one name is always in the mix, Nola, dubbed “The Suri Queen” by her fellow breeders. She has made NGG Alpacas and other farms world renowned. Her close relationship with Don Julio Barreda and the supreme Accoyo breeding stock she was able to obtain from his ranch gave new meaning to Suri’s in the United States. Winning show after show, she watched the alpacas she selected and their offspring produced from her breeding program carry on the tradition of award winning animals in the show ring. This emphasis that experience breeds success. If you are looking for some of the most powerful genetics in the United States, make your next purchase an NGG Alpaca or breed to one of the best Accoyo Herdsires in the United States owned by Castle Hill Farm Inc. and secure the future of your herd. “Quality doesn’t cost, it pays!” (Edited)

She has made several trips to Peru to further her knowledge of the alpaca in general and specifically the Suri breed. She became close to Don Julio and very much enjoyed her time with him. Nola feels that Don Julio was one of the most knowledgeable people in the world when it comes to the alpaca. As Nola’s herd grew her breeding program produced many award winning alpacas. Many alpaca owners and breeders have come to Nola for advice and the use of her many Accoyo Herdsires to enhance their own herds.

Before becoming interested in alpacas Nola started a business in 1985 called the Milk Bottle Ice Creamery in Spokane, Washington. Not long after, in 1986 The Milk Bottle was selected by the Washington State Dairy Farmers who bought her a billboard to support the local business since her parlor served ice cream made from the local Washington state dairy farmers. In the early 80s you could obtain a herd identifier through the llama registry ILR cria.
Started her herd with 6 alpacas and has raised over 500 in the last 20 years and served on the AOBA board of directors in 1993.
